We have a position available for an IT Support Engineer who will be responsible for both onsite and remote support to our customer base. The successful candidate will also be encouraged to bring in new business and actively source additional revenue streams.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the responsibilities of position include, but are not limited to:
• Respond to telephone and email support requests
• Source hardware requirements at the request of customers
• Provide onsite support
• Remotely manage and maintain customer based Microsoft Servers
• Install, configure, document and maintain all new equipment
• Implement and maintain customer’s local area networks and wide area networks
• Attend customer meetings as required
• Keep accurate work records, timesheets and billing information
It would be expected that the successful applicant will have the following experience and skills:
• Active Directory
• SQL Server
• Exchange Server
• All versions of Microsoft Windows
• Microsoft Office family of products
• ADSL, Routers & VPN configuration skills
• Minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar IT role
• Good documentation skills including the ability to follow a project from start to finish documenting all work completed
• Able to work unsupervised
• Proven problem solving skills
• Excellent client communication skills
• Good verbal and written English skills
